Landon Jackson announces his intention to enter the 2025 NFL Draft.
Arkansas edge rusher Landon Jackson has officially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft. He announced the news on Wednesday evening via his social media, sharing a heartfelt farewell message on his Twitter account.
“First, I would like to thank God, as without him, none of this would be possible. Second, I would like to thank my family, friends, and of course my wife, for they have all motivated me beyond measure. I would also like to thank my coaches and teammates for molding me into the player and man I am today,” Jackson wrote.
“Lastly, I would like to thank all the Razorback fans for taking me in and treating me like family. Attending Arkansas is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have grown off the field just as much as I have developed on it. I’ve had the opportunity to play for some of the best coaches anybody can ask for,” Jackson continued.
“After talking with my family, I’m excited to announce that I will be fulfilling a lifelong dream and entering the 2025 NFL Draft,” Jackson finished.
On Saturday, Jackson suffered an apparent head/neck injury in the second quarter against Missouri. After remaining on the ground for several minutes, the edge rusher was carted off the field and placed in an ambulance.
Landon Jackson was taken to a hospital located near Memorial Stadium following the incident. After the game, Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman shared a positive update on his condition. “Landon Jackson is back in the locker room and doing well,” Pittman stated. “He’s been released, which is great news.”
Prior to the injury, Jackson had logged five tackles. The injury occurred during a play where he tackled Missouri running back Jamal Roberts, with his head snapping backward upon impact before he fell to the ground.
Jackson’s future remains promising. ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. recently ranked him as the No. 4 defensive end on his 2024 NFL Draft Big Board.
