Sam Bradford Joins OU Sooners Football as Quarterbacks Coach

In a move that brings one of Oklahoma’s most celebrated alumni back to Norman, Sam Bradford has officially signed on as the quarterbacks coach for the OU Sooners football team. Bradford, a former Heisman Trophy winner and NFL quarterback, will now take on the role of developing the next generation of signal-callers at his alma mater.

Bradford, who led the Sooners to a national championship appearance in 2008, brings a wealth of experience from his time in both college and the pros. After being drafted first overall in the 2010 NFL Draft, Bradford played for several teams over his injury-plagued career, but his knowledge and expertise remain highly respected.

In this new coaching position, Bradford will work closely with head coach Brent Venables to guide the Sooners’ quarterbacks, including emerging star General Booty and incoming talent such as Jackson Arnold. His return to OU is expected to provide a significant boost to the team’s offensive development and quarterback play, with the former standout being an ideal mentor for the young players.

“I’m excited to be back in Norman and have the opportunity to help these guys grow,” Bradford said in a statement. “Oklahoma has always been home to me, and I’m looking forward to contributing to the team’s success in this new role.”

Bradford’s coaching appointment marks a new chapter in his football career, as he transitions from player to mentor, and Sooners fans are eager to see how his influence shapes the team’s offense in the coming seasons.
