The Pittsburgh Steelers are actively exploring options to strengthen their quarterback lineup ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. Recent reports indicate that the team has engaged in meetings with several high-profile quarterback prospects, demonstrating a proactive approach to securing talent for the upcoming season.

One notable prospect is Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers. According to John Hendrix of Athlon Sports, Ewers met with the Steelers on March 24, prior to his Pro Day. This meeting follows a formal interview conducted at the NFL Combine, suggesting a sustained interest from the Steelers in Ewers’ potential. Ewers, who began his collegiate career at Ohio State before transferring to Texas, showcased impressive statistics last season, throwing for 3,472 yards and leading the SEC with 31 touchdowns. However, he also recorded a conference-high 12 interceptions, indicating areas for development.

In addition to Ewers, the Steelers’ top brass, including head coach Mike Tomlin, general manager Omar Khan, and quarterbacks coach Tom Arth, dined with Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe on March 18, ahead of his Pro Day. Milroe is recognized for his dual-threat capabilities, having led the SEC with 71 total touchdowns over the past two seasons, including 32 rushing scores. His athleticism and versatility make him a compelling candidate for the Steelers’ offensive strategy.

The Steelers have also shown interest in other quarterback prospects. They held an informal meeting with Ohio State quarterback Will Howard during the NFL Combine, indicating a broad approach to evaluating talent in this year’s draft class.

These engagements underscore the Steelers’ commitment to thoroughly assessing available quarterback talent as they seek to enhance their roster for the upcoming season.
