BREAKING NEWS: Wisconsin Badgers Hoops Class of 2026 Commit…

Wisconsin Badgers’ Class of 2026 basketball commit, LaTrevion “Tre” Fenderson, is earning high praise from coaches for his early dedication to improving his game. The 6’5″ forward from St. John’s Northwestern Academies has demonstrated significant growth, both physically and skill-wise, since committing to Wisconsin in August 2024.

Fenderson’s commitment to development is evident in his recent performances. In a standout game, he recorded 19 points, 11 rebounds, and two assists, showcasing his versatility on the court.

His coaches have taken notice of his progress. Ben Wisniewski, head coach at DME Academy, remarked on Fenderson’s adaptability:

“Tre is discovering how to play when he’s not the most athletic guy on the court,” Wisniewski said. “He’s improving his skill work. How do you score if you’re not jumping over a guy? He’s really developing in those areas.”

Fenderson himself acknowledges the challenges of transitioning away from home to focus on his development. “It’s been a real challenge to get used to this, but I’m starting to get used to it now,” he stated. “To get ready for college, that was my biggest thing. I needed to get bigger, stronger, and make sure my game was sharp.”

Physically, Fenderson has grown from 6’4″ and 200 pounds at the time of his commitment to 6’5″ and 205 pounds, emphasizing his dedication to conditioning and strength training. Wisniewski highlighted his fit within Wisconsin’s system:

“He’s a typical Wisconsin player, because of his strength and he can post up,” Wisniewski noted. “But now, they’re playing a little differently. There’s more pace and less post-up. But I do know they still post all their players. Tre’s got a great post-up game. He’s got consistency and tenacity defensively.”

Fenderson’s proactive approach to refining his skills and physical attributes underscores his potential to make a significant impact upon joining the Badgers in 2026. Fans have ample reason to be excited about his future contributions to the team.
