Paul Mitchell has identified another target for Newcastle United in the January transfer window.

The Magpies are keen to add to their attacking options in the window but must do it with caution as the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules remain a burden.

Newcastle must sell before they can buy, but the wheels are already turning on that front. Martin Dubravka has reportedly agreed personal terms with Al-Shabab – the move would be a blow for Toon boss Eddie Howe who is still without Nick Pope, the keeper is currently out with a knee ligament problem.

Longstanding winger Miguel Almiron has interest from abroad, MLS side Charlotte FC are keen on signing the 30-year-old alongside clubs in Brazil and Greece.

It’s no surprise that Howe wants a striker, winger and goalkeeper in January, now a star who took the Premier League by storm on his debut in 2015 looks to be on the way out – Newcastle are big admirers.

Newcastle monitoring Marcus Rashford situation

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has fallen out of favour with new head coach Ruben Amorim. The 27-year-old hadn’t been included in the Red Devils matchday squad for three games before returning to the bench for Newcastle’s win at Old Trafford on Monday.
