Everton will already have one eye on the January transfer window with various areas for improvement.

Sean Dyche has immediately come under criticism after Everton‘s performance against Nottingham Forest, despite a run of positive results beforehand.

The performance was far from acceptable with just two shots on target all game, which is made even worse when you see the 64% possession.

A striker is definitely at the top of the list as we head into January, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto combining for a whopping three goals all season.

However, it appears as if it’s a midfielder on Everton’s radar at this moment in time.

Everton aware of Newcastle star Sean Longstaff’s availability ahead of January transfer window

Everton don’t particularly need a midfielder as we head into the January transfer window, with Orel Mangala, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Idrissa Gueye, James Garner and Tim Iroegbunam all options when fit.

However, when a player like Longstaff, who earns around £50k per week, potentially becomes available it’s hard to ignore.

According to the Daily Mail, Everton are keeping an eye on the availability of Sean Longstaff with Newcastle potentially looking to cash in on him.

Leicester City and Wolves are also interested in him.
