Torino have identified signing Beto from Everton as their priority for the January transfer window, according to La Stampa, via Tutto Mercato Web.
Citing the Italian newspaper, the outlet reported that the Toffees have put the striker on the market after he requested to be sold in January.
Torino are, therefore, hopeful of signing the 26-year-old on loan with an option or obligation to buy for a fee between £12.4million and £16.6m, although they face competition from Dan Friedkin-owned AS Roma.
Beto race heats up in Italy as £12.4m Everton transfer news emerges
Beto has found playing time hard to come by at Goodison Park this season, clocking only 180 minutes of Premier League action so far.
That is only likely to go down further in the second half of the season after Armando Broja returned to action in the 4-0 win against Wolves last Wednesday [4 December].

It, therefore, makes sense for the Toffees to sanction an exit for the Guinea-Bissau international in January.
Beto, who spent two years in Italy with Udinese before moving to Merseyside in 2023, is reportedly keen on returning to the Serie A.
Torino are on the hunt for a goalscorer, having found the back of the net only once since November, while Roma want to bring in competition for Artem Dovbyk.
