The Pittsburgh Steelers have electrified their roster by adding wide receiver Andy Isabella to the practice squad.
In his sixth NFL season, Isabella entered the league as the 62nd overall pick by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2019 NFL Draft. His journey has seen him contribute to the Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, and Buffalo Bills, appearing in 41 games (with three starts) and recording 33 receptions for 447 yards and three touchdowns—including a jaw-dropping 88-yard score during his rookie season.
A standout at the University of Massachusetts, Isabella amassed 3,526 receiving yards on 231 catches and racked up 30 touchdowns over 45 games. His phenomenal 2018 season saw him crowned as a Biletnikoff Award Finalist and consensus All-American, leading the nation in receiving yards per game (141.5) and earning a spot on the 2018 College Football All-America Team.
Andy Isabella wasn’t acquired through a trade; he was signed directly to the Steelers’ practice squad. Typically, practice squad contracts offer a weekly salary rather than a fixed trade amount, and players earn about $12,000 to $20,000 per week depending on experience.
However, the specific terms of Isabella’s practice squad deal with the Steelers haven’t been disclosed.
