Milwaukee Bucks: Damian Lillard’s Candid Response to LeBron James and Bronny James Playing Together.
Like many basketball fans, Milwaukee Bucks star point guard Damian Lillard was astonished to see LeBron James and his son, Bronny James, playing together on the court during the Los Angeles Lakers’ preseason game against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.
“I can’t lie, this is so 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” Lillard wrote in an Instagram Story featuring LeBron and Bronny on the court together.
LeBron, who turns 40 in December, still looked impressive for his age. The four-time NBA MVP scored 19 points on an efficient 8-of-12 shooting, along with five rebounds, four assists, and two blocks in just 16 minutes. In contrast, Bronny struggled, missing his only shot and finishing with zero points, along with four turnovers, although he did grab two rebounds in 13 minutes of play.
Like the Lakers, Lillard and the Bucks faced a preseason defeat on Sunday, losing 120-87 to the Detroit Pistons on the road. Lillard started and played 17 minutes, finishing with 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting, along with four assists, two rebounds, and a steal.
Bobby Portis led the Bucks with 16 points off the bench. It’s important to mention that the Bucks played without Giannis Antetokounmpo, who will have another opportunity to compete this Thursday when they host LeBron and the Lakers.
Milwaukee will kick off its 2024-25 NBA regular season on October 23, facing the Philadelphia 76ers on the road.
