Sam Bradford Returns to OU Sooners as Assistant Head Coach

 

In a highly anticipated announcement, the University of Oklahoma has confirmed that former Heisman Trophy winner and NFL quarterback Sam Bradford will officially rejoin the Sooners as the new Assistant Head Coach. Bradford, who previously played for OU from 2007 to 2009, returns to the program with a wealth of experience and a deep connection to the university.

Bradford’s tenure at Oklahoma was marked by his exceptional performance, leading the Sooners to the BCS National Championship game in 2009 and earning the prestigious Heisman Trophy the same year. Following his collegiate career, he was selected first overall in the 2010 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams, where he had a successful professional career, playing for teams including the Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings, and Arizona Cardinals.
