Rashee Rice’s mother, a Chiefs player, has been accused of stealing Chappell Roan records from a neighbor.

Marsha Kearney, mother of Chiefs star Rashee Rice, allegedly took a package containing rare records just hours after her son’s injury

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice was already in the spotlight after sustaining an injury during a game against the Los Angeles Chargers, but his family soon faced additional attention for an off-field issue. Just hours after Rice’s injury, his mother, Marsha Kearney, found herself involved in a strange incident concerning a stolen package.

The story caught attention when TMZ released Ring doorbell footage showing Kearney, dressed in a ‘Momma-Rice’ jersey, seemingly taking a package from a neighbor’s porch. The package, which allegedly contained two limited-edition Chappell Roan vinyl records, was seen being moved from the neighbor’s doorstep and taken by Kearney. The video quickly spread, creating an unexpected turn of events for the Rice family that weekend.

In the footage, Kearney is seen walking past her neighbor’s door, making eye contact with the camera. Moments later, she returns and subtly uses her foot to move a package away from the door before picking it up and leaving with it. This incident happened on the same day the Chiefs secured a win against the Chargers, and just hours after Rice had been carted off the field with a knee injury.

Rice’s injury had already dampened the weekend, but this off-field controversy escalated matters further. The neighbor, frustrated by the missing package, contacted Kearney, Rice, and the apartment’s leasing office in an attempt to resolve the situation, but her efforts were unsuccessful. The situation ultimately led to a report being filed with local authorities on Wednesday.

As TMZ continued to investigate, more information about the stolen items surfaced.

The Chappell Roan vinyl records, purchased from Urban Outfitters, were a limited-edition release and held sentimental value for the neighbor. Despite efforts to resolve the issue privately, it remains unresolved and is now in the hands of law enforcement.
