This veteran forward has signed a contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning’s AHL club.
The Syracuse Crunch have made a significant addition, signing veteran forward Jujhar Khaira to an AHL contract.
Khaira, 30, was part of the Minnesota Wild organization last season. The 6-foot-4 forward played just one game for Minnesota, registering no points, one hit, and one block. He spent most of the season with the Iowa Wild, where he recorded five goals, 18 points, and a plus-9 rating over 22 games.
Khaira is an intriguing player to sign on an AHL deal, given his extensive NHL experience. Over the last nine seasons, he has played 337 NHL games, tallying 33 goals, 80 points, and 784 hits. Now, he aims to make an impact with the Crunch and potentially earn an NHL contract with the Lightning during the season.
