49ers’ receiving duo at risk of being traded before the season begins.

Is a trade on the horizon for the San Francisco 49ers?

With the regular season just around the corner, the San Francisco 49ers are less than two weeks away from their first game, but roster adjustments are still necessary. The team will soon face some tough choices, and according to Logan Ulrich of NFL Trade Rumors, wide receivers Danny Gray and Ronnie Bell could potentially be on the trade block.

“49ers WR Danny Gray, Dolphins WR Erik Ezukanma, Ravens WR Malik Cunningham, 49ers WR Ronnie Bell, Giants WR Isaiah Hodgins, and Titans WR Kyle Phillips,” Ulrich mentioned. “Bell has exceeded expectations as a seventh-round pick, making the team last year as a rookie, playing in all 17 games, and scoring three touchdowns. However, the 49ers are very deep at receiver, especially if they decide to keep Aiyuk. Bell’s experience on special teams and his consistent performance in various roles are notable.

“Hodgins had a strong finish to the 2022 season but faded last year and now seems like a longshot to make the roster. Teams in need of a possession receiver might show interest, even if it’s just through waivers.”

Most of the trade discussions involving the 49ers this summer have understandably focused on Brandon Aiyuk. While there’s still a possibility he could be traded, he’s not the only player the 49ers will face tough decisions on.

Keep a close watch on the 49ers in the coming weeks as they start making roster cuts.”
