Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network was on-site at Raiders practice on Wednesday. Williams, who was positioned right behind Garafolo on camera, chose not to speak with him. Consequently, Garafolo had to give an update on Aiyuk’s status with the 49ers while Williams’ back was turned to the cameras.
Garafolo reported that Williams was reluctant to share many specifics but confirmed that “nothing was done” regarding a trade for Aiyuk. Williams also advised against believing everything being posted on social media.
The timing of Williams’ visit to the Raiders’ facility adds an extra layer of intrigue. Williams represents offensive tackle Thayer Munford Jr., a rookie from the 2022 season currently under contract with the Raiders.
