Arkansas Basketball Expecting Official Visit from Nation’s Top Center, 4-Star Center Malachi Moreno
Arkansas basketball is expecting an official visit from 4-star center Malachi Moreno in the fall.
Moreno, 7-0 and 215 pounds, of Georgetown (Ky.) Great Crossing, visited Arkansas last September when the Razorbacks were coached by Eric Musselman.
Jamie Shaw of On3.com reported that Moreno will visit Arkansas over the Oct. 4-6 weekend when the Razorbacks host Tennessee in football.
A consensus 4-star prospect in the 2025 class, Moreno is rated by On3.com as the No. 1 center in the nation and the No. 16 overall recruit in his class.
He announced a top eight of Arkansas, Indiana, Ohio State, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisville, North Carolina, and Notre Dame on June 24.
His mother Sarah and grandfather Robert Thornton, an Arkansas native, accompanied him on his first trip to Fayetteville.
Moreno is also expected to officially visit Ohio State on Sept. 7, North Carolina on Sept. 14, Indiana on Sept. 20, and Kentucky on Oct. 12.
