Chicago White Sox ace Garrett Crochet is a compelling option, as he has been the subject of trade speculation throughout the season. According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, Crochet is likely to be traded.
According to Heyman, Crochet has two years of team control remaining, so the asking price is understandably steep. He stated the odds of Crochet being traded are 4-5 in favor (56 percent).
Heyman assessed the likelihood of various trade targets being moved, placing Crochet’s chances at over 50 percent. If he becomes available, St. Louis should act swiftly in contacting Chicago.
Currently leading the league with 150 strikeouts and boasting a 2.36 FIP, Crochet offers a valuable asset under team control for the next two seasons. While acquiring him would likely require a significant prospect package from St. Louis, he could potentially serve as their ace for years to come.
