Five-star offensive lineman Michael Fasusi, a top recruit in Oklahoma, announces his final five college choices and sets a commitment date.

One of the premier offensive line prospects for the Sooners remains a possibility for Bill Bedenbaugh, following the recruit’s announcement of his top schools on Friday afternoon.

Oklahoma received significant recruiting news on Friday afternoon. Michael Fasusi, a highly-rated 5-star offensive lineman from Lewisville, Texas, revealed his top five schools and his commitment date, with the Sooners making the list.

On August 21, Fasusi will decide among OU, Oregon, Missouri, Texas A&M, and Texas. Previously, on April 1, he announced his top seven schools, but Georgia and USC did not make the cut for his top five.

Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 300 pounds, Fasusi is ranked as the No. 10 overall prospect and the No. 3 offensive tackle in the nation by Rivals.

If Bill Bedenbaugh and his team secure a commitment from the rising senior, he would be the fourth offensive lineman in the Sooners’ 2025 class, joining 4-star Bridgeland (TX) tackle Ryan Fodje, 4-star Skyridge (UT) guard Darius Afalava, and 3-star Melissa (TX) center Owen Hollenbeck.

Sean Hutton, a close friend of Fasusi and the starting center at Lewisville, also committed to Oklahoma in late June.

If Fasusi decides to join Oklahoma, he would be the highest-rated recruit Bedenbaugh has landed since he became the offensive line coach in Norman.

The standout from Farmers has made multiple visits to OU, most recently from June 14-16 for an official visit. Moreover, his former teammate Jaydan Hardy is now a freshman on the Sooners’ roster, having been part of Brent Venables’ 2024 class.

Oklahoma has built a strong relationship with Fasusi and is well-positioned with the 5-star prospect, but they will need to finish strong in the month leading up to his commitment date.

After losing 4-star offensive tackle Lamont Rogers to Missouri earlier this month, securing a commitment from Fasusi would certainly help mitigate the impact for the Sooners. It could also enhance what is already ranked as one of the top six recruiting classes in the country, according to Rivals.
