Everton secures the return of Jack Harrison on…

Everton have officially announced the return of Jack Harrison on loan from Leeds United. Harrison, who spent the 2023-24 season on loan with the Toffees, featured in 29 Premier League matches under manager Sean Dyche’s guidance. Despite Everton facing an eight-point deduction due to financial regulation breaches, the 27-year-old winger managed to score three goals, slightly below his expected goals (xG) of 3.6, and provided three assists, creating a total of 28 chances for his teammates.

On Monday, Everton revealed that they had reached an agreement with Leeds United, who lost to Southampton in the Championship play-off final in May, for Harrison to return to Goodison Park for the upcoming season.

Dyche expressed his satisfaction with Harrison’s return, stating on Everton’s official website: “We’re delighted to welcome Jack back to our squad and are eager to continue working with him. He played a crucial role in our progress last season, contributing significantly to our attacking prowess and reinforcing the team’s defensive resilience. His strong work ethic and dedication align perfectly with our team’s ethos.”

Harrison’s re-signing marks Everton’s second acquisition of the transfer window, following the earlier arrival of Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa for a reported fee of £9 million.
