BYU Teases New Uniform Combination to Celebrate 100 Years of BYU Football

On Monday, the BYU football program announced plans to celebrate the 100th year of BYU football. “BYU Athletics will be providing fans with a variety of opportunities to celebrate and reminisce over the rich history and tradition of Cougar football,” BYU said in an official press release. Among the details, BYU teased a potential new uniform combination to be unveiled later.

In recent years, BYU has introduced a variety of uniform combinations, rarely repeating the same look twice in a season. If BYU unveils a throwback uniform, it will be the second in the last five seasons. In 2019, BYU celebrated 150 years of college football with a white throwback jersey against Washington.

Many fans on social media have expressed a desire to see the return of a 1996 throwback uniform.

Throughout the season, BYU will celebrate 100 seasons of Cougar football at every home game. Below is the schedule of planned events for the home game activations in 2024.
