New Orleans Saints Anticipated to Overhaul Roster Before Trade Deadline
At this stage of the offseason, there is considerable excitement about the New Orleans Saints’ prospects for 2024. However, this has been a recurring sentiment each year, only for fans to be left disappointed season after season.
Currently, the front office appears confident in their roster. This confidence could quickly wane if the Saints experience another slow start to the season.
New Orleans Saints Predicted to Overhaul Squad by Midseason
In a recent bold predictions list curated by Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report, the NFL analyst listed the Saints as one of the teams he expects to make some landscape-shifting moves before the trade deadline in November.
“If they find themselves out of contention by the end of October, I anticipate Mickey Loomis and his team making players such as Derek Carr, Alvin Kamara, Cameron Jordan, Ryan Ramczyk, and Marshon Lattimore available,” Gagnon stated. “Following this, they would aim to secure a high draft pick for the first time in decades, acknowledging that their competitive window must now close.”
According to Gagnon, New Orleans has been in football purgatory for quite some time now as they refuse to accept the fact that they just aren’t going to achieve ultimate success with their current core.
For all we know, this could be their year, and this prediction could be completely wrong. Then again, recent history tells us that there’s a bigger chance that the Saints decide to blow it all up than for them to win a Super Bowl this year.
