I can probably guess what you’ll be doing 10 weeks from today — gearing up to watch Penn State face their longtime rivals, the West Virginia Mountaineers. Yes, we’re just 10 weeks away from the start of another exciting season of Penn State Football.
True freshman Garrett Sexton will be sporting a brand-new #70 jersey for Penn State this fall. The highly-rated four-star recruit was ranked as the top player from Wisconsin in his recruiting class by On3, and the 64th overall prospect across all positions. Standing at 6-6, 289 lbs., he’s almost ready for his “Big Ten body,” though this season will likely be about adjusting to the higher level of play.
Mark Harris, Sexton’s former high school coach, had high praise for his potential:
“Garrett is an exceptional athlete. He blends incredible length and size with remarkable athleticism. Garrett possesses a work ethic worthy of Division I! Penn State has a gem in the making, and in a few years, he’ll be shining!”
