Chicago Bears Training Camp Report Dates Announced

The NFL released training camp report dates for all teams this week, with the Chicago Bears set to return earlier than most.

Bears rookies are expected back at Halas Hall on July 16, while veterans get a few more days off, reporting on July 19. Most NFL teams have their players returning around July 23 or 24, but the Bears start earlier due to their participation in the Hall of Fame game, an additional preseason match in Canton, OH, held a week before the rest of the preseason.

Training camp will be crucial for the Bears as they prepare for Week 1, both mentally and physically. The team will progress from practicing in shorts and t-shirts to shells, and eventually full pads. This is also the first opportunity for live tackling, depending on head coach Matt Eberflus’s plans.

The Hall of Fame game is on August 1, with the Bears’ first regular season game on September 8.
