There a few Celtic players who could heading for the exit this summer. Brendan Rodgers’ side might have won a Premiership and Scottish Cup double in the 23/24 season, but one cannot forget that there were several points over the course of the campaign when they were struggling. There is plenty of room for improvement in this squad.
One of them is upfront. Celtic did very well following the arrival of Adam Idah in January but he was only at the club on a loan deal and has gone back to Norwich City, with prospects of a permanent switch uncertain.
Following the arrival of Idah, one player who barely featured is Oh Hyeon-gyu. The South Korean striker had shown glimpses of quality in the first half of the campaign but slipped down the pecking order after the winter break.
Naturally, Oh is being linked with a move away from Parkhead. And he seems to have dropped a major hint that a move might not be far away amid rumours that a transfer to KRC Genk is getting closer.

As reported by the Daily Record, eagle-eyed fans have spotted that Oh has cleared any Celtic related photos from his Instagram page. This comes after the South Korean international posted a story of himself training, with the caption ‘Next one…’.
Oh had arrived with a lot of expectations on his shoulders, taking Giorgos Giakoumakis’ place in the squad. It would be safe to say that he has never quite filled the Greek striker’s boots.
Oh has potential for sure, but he has not improved enough to be considered a challenger for Kyogo’s spot in the starting XI. One can say that about Idah, who spent only six months at Parkhead and on loan as well.
