Tennessee Vols Secure Commitment from Four-Star Edge Rusher Jayden Loftin

The Tennessee Vols made a significant addition to their 2025 recruiting class on Wednesday.

Jayden Loftin, a four-star edge rusher, committed to Tennessee, according to multiple reports. Loftin, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound prospect from Somerville, NJ, is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 23 edge rusher in the nation and the No. 9 player in the state of New Jersey.

Loftin actually committed to the Vols during his official visit to Tennessee this past weekend. “On Saturday, during the photo shoot, there was a DJ playing music. I had him announce my commitment over the loudspeaker, and that is how everyone found out,” Loftin told On3. “It was pretty exciting.”

Vols head coach Josh Heupel acknowledged Loftin’s commitment with a “GBO” tweet on Wednesday morning.

With Loftin’s addition, Tennessee now has 11 players committed to its 2025 recruiting class.
