Head Coach Mark Pope, Kentucky Wildcats Makes Move to Commit a NBPA Top 100 Campee

On Tuesday, Chris Cenac Jr. announced he received an offer from the Kentucky Wildcats.

Cenac is currently participating in the NBPA Top 100 Camp, where new Kentucky head coach Mark Pope and other coaches have been scouting recruits.

Playing for Isidore Newman School in Louisiana, Cenac is ranked as high as sixth overall in the class of 2025 by On3. He’s ranked 36th by ESPN and 47th by 247 Sports. On the AAU circuit, playing for Young Game Changers, he’s averaging 19 points, 11 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game.

The 6-foot-10, 210-pound Cenac holds additional scholarship offers from the Kansas Jayhawks, Baylor Bears, Louisville Cardinals, Tennessee Volunteers, Texas Longhorns, Auburn Tigers, and Alabama Crimson Tide, among others.

Mark Pope has reissued scholarship offers to recruits like Darryn Peterson and AJ Bybantsa, who were previously offered by John Calipari. However, Cenac is the first new scholarship offer Pope has sent out.
