Arkansas basketball player decides not to join Eric Musselman at USC.

The USC basketball program has decided against adding an Arkansas player from the transfer portal. Eric Musselman will not be bringing Travon Brazile to Los Angeles. The news was reported on Tuesday afternoon, confirming Brazile’s decision to remain at Arkansas and play for John Calipari.

According to Razorbacks Wire:

“Brazile has completed two seasons with the Razorbacks, although effectively only one. He suffered a torn ACL in December of his first year, 2022-23, shortly after transferring from Missouri. At that point, he was averaging over 10 points per game and was being touted as a potential first-round draft pick.

“During the 2023-24 season, Brazile, like many other members of the Arkansas basketball roster, seemed to struggle to find his rhythm. He appeared in 26 games but averaged just over 8 points per game. Former coach Eric Musselman noted that Brazile was still in the process of working his way back, especially during the early part of the season.”

With Brazile opting not to join USC, none of the players from the 2023-2024 Arkansas roster have followed Musselman to Los Angeles. This highlights the challenges faced by that particular team under Musselman’s leadership, providing the coach with a fresh start as he takes on the Trojans’ coaching role.
