Miller Receives Freshman All-American Honors from Softball America
In 2024, Kennedy Miller had an outstanding freshman season for the Arkansas Razorbacks softball team, earning recognition on Softball America’s Freshman All-America team.
Miller showcased her talent by starting in all 52 games she played, boasting impressive offensive statistics. She achieved a batting average of .331, along with hitting eight home runs and driving in 36 runs. Her batting average ranked second on the team, while her eight home runs placed her fourth. Notably, Miller demonstrated exceptional defensive skills as the team’s catcher, committing only one error in 310 chances for a remarkable .997 fielding percentage. Additionally, she successfully threw out five would-be basestealers.
Hailing from Georgetown, Texas, Miller received SEC Freshman of the Week honors after her debut SEC series at Auburn. During that week, she exhibited a stellar performance at the plate, posting a slash line of .545/1.091/.545 across four games. Leading the Razorbacks in hits with six and home runs with two, Miller’s standout moment came in the second game against the Tigers, where she delivered a two-run home run in the first inning and a solo home run in the fourth. She also matched her career-best with three hits, three RBIs, and two runs scored in the series-clinching victory.
Recognizing her outstanding contributions, Miller was named to the TUCCI/NFCA Division I National Freshman of the Year Top 25 list in April, with further selections expected to be announced on May 9.
